The existing water supply system of the region was not adequate for the current needs and future demands of the domestic and industrial usage demands. The available resources are to be evaluated and the possible additional resources are to be transfer to the reservoirs. Buca and Kavarlıdere regions are the two basic locations to connect the water transmission liens and Buca tunnel is planned to provide most cost effective solution.
