Gürdük Dam; It is a dam proposed to supply drinking water to the city of Manisa within the scope of the Manisa Drinking Water Master Plan Report. However, the planning report was prepared for both drinking water and irrigation purposes. The Gürdük Dam is located on the Gürdük Creek, a branch of the Kum Creek that joins the Gediz River from the north, 22 km northeast of the Akhisar district of Manisa. A gross area of 1262 ha in the Akhisar flat will be irrigated with the Gürdük Dam, which is 34.2 m high from the talweg and 6.13 hm³ of drinking water will be supplied to the city of Manisa annually through a steel pipeline of 68.7 km in length and 660 mm in diameter. The dam was designed as a clay core sand+gravel fill.
