Survey and Project preparation to prevent Landslide at Trabzon Drinking Water Pipeline

Trabzon Water Treatment Plant with a capacity of 500.000 m3/day is the only source of water supply for city of Trabzon, Yomra and Akçaabat. The bad quality of raw water was a problem before the plant was put into operation.

Model studies were carried out in DSİ Hydraulic Laboratories in order to find out causes of the bad quality of raw water at the intake structure of Değirmendere River. According to findings of model analysis, rehabilitation measures were determined.
