Technical Assistance and Supervision for Erdemli Water and Wastewater Project

The purpose of the Project contracted by IPA Coordination and Implementation Center is to find out solutions to Erdemli Municipality’s water and waste water problems. The Project comprises the following components :

• Rehabilitation and improvement of existing water supply and distribution system, including approximately 30km replacement of transmission and network pipes;
• Extension of sewer system of approximately 40 km and construction of sea outfall;
• Improvement and extension of storm water collection system of approximately 12km;

Works Contract 1 –Construction for Erdemli Wastewater Collection and Stormwater Drainage Project

Works Contract 2-Construction of Erdemli Rehabilitation of Water Supply System and Sea Outfall

Services provided by ALTER;

• Construction Supervision both for Works I and Works II. (as per FIDIC Conditions of Contract-FIDIC Red Book)
• Procurement of equipment and software for improvement of the maintenance, operation and management of the wastewater, stormwater and drinking water systems, such as Sewer Cleaning Equipment, Pipeline Inspection System, Leak Detection Equipment .
• Preparation of design and tender documents for water investments, (Works II) support during procurement stages of equipment supply.
• Technical Assistance for capacity building services in financial/administrative/technical areas including leak detection surveys, preparation of Catchment Management Plan, assistance in modernization of the Water Utility Department, study tour to view best practices
